    Literature offers:

March: " Knowledge" book or, if people already have this publication, the " Daniel's Prophecy" book.

April: "Watchtower" and "Awake!" magazines, "Worship God" book, "Knowledge" book, "Require" brochure.

    May: same as April

June: " Great Teacher" book, or "Require" brochure.

Notice anything? The publication that has nothing to do with "disciple-making"? Did you spot it?

Could it be that this book with all its proven absurdities is destined for the pulper?

Cheers, Ozzie (of the "reading between the lines" class)

    Answer: "Daniel's Prophecy" book

The Daniel book? Who the hell would want to take THAT at the door?

What kind of presentation would you use? "Are you experiencing pressure to kneel before a 60 cubit golden statue when you hear bagpipes? This book might help!"

"Since we're living in critical times hard to deal with, you might be thrilled to know that the prophet Daniel explained in detail--everything that was going to happen in these last days of this system of things. This book shows conclusively that God does not lie and His words always come true. ....I'm sure, you'd enjoy reading this small book that has such outstanding information!"...............See, that was how you do it!

    Sheesh, minimus, you're still in, aren't you? You're a Borgspy, aren't you?

Hm, but I think my Dubspeak is still good enough:

"Hi, have you ever heard of the small desert people whose God created all things and once, they were enslaved by an empire that doesn't exist anymore but Saddam Hussein tried to rebuild, anyway, they were set free by a people from the area currently known as Iran but they had a different religion then, and anyway, they were the servants of the desert people's God even though they didn't know anything about him and then the friendly empire was overrun by a Greek guy named Alexander... and anyway, this one dude from the desert people predicted the whole thing! right up to the rise of the anglo-american world power, which I know you've never really heard of but trust me, it exists!"

Nope, I don't think it would have passed muster...

Actually, Czar, that was so convoluted that it DID sound Witnessy.

The WTS does that with books that are taking up storage space or that they don't want to move to a new location. The publishing company mindset.

Sometimes, in the past, they would schedule another run through at the book study and "encouraged" the publishers to get a new, clean, nonunderlined copy to move the merchandise off the shelves.

You could always do what I did when the WT had topics that weren't appealing, I would feature the Awake and slip the WT in. Could feature the Require brochure and slip the Daniel book in without mentioning it.

And it helped fill the "books" column on the Field Service Report, eh??

Maybe the Society should start impregnating the Daniel books with caffeine, thereby boosting their sales of said book as people keep trying to get their "Daniel" fix.
