Does anyone else here love this group as much as me. They are a rock band whose lyrics tend toward Christian. I have fallen in love with their music.

    Yes Joelbear,

I own the cd "Human Clay". It's only got a few tracks though that catch my adrenaline. TOOL is who I favor most. I am drawn to visual lyricists and agressive guitars accompained with strong vocals.

If you get the chance watch the VH1 "Behind the Music" Special--awesome. 'Religously Abused' like most of us, is finding a new life in writing powerful lyrics which draws him to God instead of religion.

    Hey the other Joel,

I've been a huge Creed fan for some time now.....listen to both of their CD's regularly......and for the same reasons as you...

great music with lyrics that I don't mind runnin' through my head afterwards!!

I posted the song "What If" awhile back...it's a great Ex-jdub song if you sub in the GB for who they're talkin about!!!

    Later n Pax,

Pax to you too, "original" Joel! Good to see you're still with us.

    Joelbear,

I hadn't been familiar with Creed before their smash hit "With Arms Wide Open". That song about a man's unconditional love for his new child sure struck a chord with me, it's exactly and I do mean, exactly, how I feel about my 2-1/2 year old daughter (who now lives with her mom). I would do anything for her, and that song nearly makes me cry!

This song made me more interested in this group and their other music.

    Gopher, enjoying the fresh air

    Great hard rock.

From their 2001 album 'Weathered' - the title track:

I lie awake on a long dark night
I can't seem to tame my mind
Slings and arrows are killin' me inside
Maybe I can't accept the life that's mine
No, maybe I can't accept the life that's mine

Simple livin' is my desperate cry
    Been tradin' love with indifference
An', yeah, it suits me just fine
I try to hold on but I'm calloused to the bone
Maybe that's why I feel alone, yeah
Maybe that's why I feel so alone

'Cause me, I'm rusted and weathered
    Barely holdin' together
I'm covered with skin that peels
    And it just won't heal

    I am rusted and weathered
    Barely holdin' together
I'm covered with skin that peels
    And it just won't heal
No, it just won't heal, no, no, no

The sun shines and I can't avoid the light
I think I'm holdin' on to life too tight
Ashes to ashes and dust to dust
Sometimes I feel like givin' up, yeah
I said, sometimes I feel like givin' up

'Cause me, I'm rusted and weathered
    Barely holdin' together
I'm covered with skin that peels
    And it just won't heal

    I am rusted and weathered
    Barely holdin' together
I'm covered with skin that peels
    And it just won't heal
    It just won't heal, no

The day reminds me of you
    The night hides your truth
    The earth is a voice
    Speaking to you
    Take all this pride
    And leave it behind

    'Cause one day it ends
    One day we die
    Believe what you will
    That is your right
    But I choose to win
I choose to fight, to fight

'Cause me I'm rusted and weathered
    Barely holdin' together
I'm covered with skin that peels
    And it just won't heal

    I am rusted and weathered
    Barely holdin' together
I'm covered with skin that peels
    And It just won't

    Covered with skin that peels
    And it just won't
    Covered with skin that peels
    And it just won't heal
