According to the Guardian newspaper February 9th there is an article re: "Museums fight to keep tax loopholes"
"The piece of tidying up by the Treasury, barely noticed in the Chancellor's pre-budget statement in December, is estimated to lose the Museum sector 10 million pounds per year.. This appears to work by visitors, agreeing to make a DONATION equal to the admisssion fee, and in return they were nominally admitted free...Thus enabling the Museums to recover the tax on the "gifts i.e. donations, "
According to the Guardian newspaper, this is a small, obscure tax concession which the government are proposing to abolish.
Does anyone know if this thinking ( which may come out in the spring budget (UK) ) could have any effect on the way that the WT Organisation, can use the tax system to recover tax on donations.
