Just got back from the theater, what a great great movie! The best sports movie I've ever seen, Kurt Russell was superb, as was the supporting cast. 5 stars, 2 thumbs up! Go see it!

For our overseas friends who may not have heard about the movie, it is about the USA hockey teams' upset of the Soviet Union in the 1980 Olympics.

I don't even like hockey a little bit and the previews were good enough to cause me to want to check out this flick.

Kurt Russell wearing that wig doesn't even look like himself.

    I'll check it out soon!

Yes, do go see it, I promise you a much better than average moviegoing experience.

Everybody in the theater was cheering during the movie and there was a round of applause at the end, I can't remember the last time I was at a theater and people applauded after the movie.

    Alright, Dan.

I'm going to see it on Wednesday! You got me pumped.

Being a huuuuge hockey fan and living through the Miracle on Ice...

    1. They made a good casting call....only one real star (russell) and a cast of hockey players who could act a little...as opposed to actors who could play a little hockey. Plus, Whoever played Viktor Tikhonov got his look and persona down pat.

    2. The second goal at the end of the first period of the Soviet game...You can't coreograph that. Anyone who saw that score knows how dependent it was on the flow of the game. Well done.

    3. You could see the panic in the decision to pull Tretiak for Mishkin.

    4. Accents! dead solid perfect...along with the hair, music and news stories...thought I was 7 years old again.

    5. They got the whole "Boston vs. Minnesota" rivalry down to.

Greatness is in the details...and this movie had the details down...
