I found this video on YouTube which correctly explains how religoius cults develop and operate on a psychological and sociological study.
While watching it think of the JWS and its general operative behavior.
I think its important to realize many people who fall into cults are usually having some kind unstable problems in their lives looking for answers and relief, the JWS are known to exploit people who are under going some personal strife and are venerable to that effect.
People fall into bible cults primarily because they don't read believe the bible. For instance Gal. 1:8 emphatically states:
"But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed." In other words, everything stays the same after the apostles die until Jesus' return.
This destroys the doctrine of "new light" that makes all the WT wackiness possible. The bible is full of warnings about putting ultimate trust in men.
