Christianity, Capitalism, and Conquers

Why is it that many of the people trying to take over the world (now and then) seem to be Christians and promoters of Capitalism?

Why does the United States (a predominantly Christian country) fear Islam so much when for centuries Christians have been terrorizing most of the world?

Does Christianity promote violence by being a 'house on a hill'? Or by needing to spread its gospel?

And on a perhaps more controversial note:

Why are most of these people white or of European/Western decent?

(Keep in mind, "all people are created equal.")

    Hi,

Care to give some examples of all these historical would-be world conquerors who were Christian Capitalists?

Not being sarcastic, I'm seriously curious about whom you're referring to.

    Thanks,

Possibly because Christianity promotes evangelism and capitalism promotes the procurement of wealth. More likely because your view may be skewed by living in a Christian, capitalist country. Can you give any examples of Christian capitalists who are now "trying to take over the world"?

Why does the United States (a predominantly Christian country) fear Islam so much when for centuries Christians have been terrorizing most of the world?

Because now one of the biggest dangers to the life and liberty of the citizens of the United States comes from Islamic fundamentalists. What do you expect them to say? "Well we had the crusades, it's only fair to let them take a shot at us."

Does Christianity promote violence by being a 'house on a hill'? Or by needing to spread its gospel?

Fundamentalism does that, be it Christian, Moslem or whatever.

Why are most of these people white or of European/Western decent?

Because their ancestors were white or European/Western. Which people, specifically, are you talking about?

(Keep in mind, "all people are created equal.")

Says who? In what way are all people equal?

The catholic church didn't fit in this category, as it was anticapitalist. The knights templar were the first christian capitalist conquerers, but the church made short work of them, at least the public part. The colonising christian countries fit this description. That would include england, many european countries, and laterly the usa. Bush, the holy crusader fits it. Going back a bit to when rockefellar was cia and also in the govt, it fits as well. I don't remember the yr. It was rockefellar who kicked off the cold war when he made alliances in central/south america. He used christian evangelicalism as an arm in furthering american control/influence in the south. Details in the book, thy will be done, the conquest of the amazon: nelson rockefellar in the age of oil, by gerard colby with charlotte dennett.

Maybe the only christian capitalists that were taking over the world was england, as in the british empire. Whether or not the usa is aiming for that is a question mark, imo. Though, i kind of doubt it.

Why are most of these people white or of European/Western decent?

Ok, lets get into political incorrectness. It's because those people (caucasians) have the best balance of intelligence and spirit of cooperation, imo. That is what enables empires, or at least large countries, and cooperation between countries. Compare that w africans, who are totally hopeless in both characteristics, or jews, who are very intelligent, but are unable to cooperate with even each other to any degree. And so, rome grew from a city state to a world empire, britain from an island country to an empire. Isreal, in the bible was always small, splitting as soon as it grew to any size at all. The solomonic empire has been largely disproved by archealogy, being only a propagandistic fantasy. -see 'the bible unearthed' by israel finkelstein
