Well, one fine day I fell off a roof. Sounds funny, but I broke my talus. For any doctor, a broken talus is especially difficult because it is so hard to heal! My bone was shattered!

I was already gone from the witlesses, but, I discovered that they gave me bone from the bone bank during my surgery. I wouldn't have given one crap, but I was just wondering if I am now going to where there is fire and brimstone for the horrible sin that I just did, LOL!

Would they have told me not to have the procedure done?

BTW, my talus fully healed. Thank god!

Shamus, honestly, how is your foot, or at least your step? Is it OK to run on, etc.?

I can imagine if you were a JW and the issue about the 'bone bank/transplant' came up, chances are, if it's something beneficial or helpful, chances are they'll be less than favourable about it.

Otherwise, glad the talus has been replaced, as it's in a crucial part of your foot. I hope it stays that way.

My foot ain't normal, thank you very much. 6 months in a cast really screwed up my range of motion.

You mean you want me to give you my bone?

It is where you get bone from cadavers. It can be a paste or actual bone...

Does anyone have any thoughts on this?
