Has anyone here read Mikhail Bulgakov's Master and Margarita? Any comments? I am almost finished with it. Not being very prolific, I cannot possibly describe all the feelings and emotions this book brings to the fore, but it is truely awesome. I wish my Russian was better. I'd love to read it in the original language.

    Just wondering ...

I read "Master and..." several times. for a better understanding it's good to know circumstances it was written, I mean to experience communism. I'm not Russian, but in the country where I live (very close to Russia) we had communism as well. Maybe it's easier for me to enjoy reading that kind of books. Though I speak Russian I didn't read it in Russian. In my country "Master..." was translated twice. The first translation was amazingly good, the other one - horrible. Therefore translation is another point that should be considered.
