As you are probably aware, the Dub International convention was in Sydney last week. I have a mate who works for an inner city hotel that was full of Japanese Dubs. He said they were just like any other Japanese who stay in the hotel: polite and quiet. His workmate, who also works for another hotel, which hosted a lot of US Dubs was not so fortunate, apparently. He had summed them up as big, having incredibly heavy luggage (), rude, arrogant, and very cheap when it came to tips!
I asked my mate if this is common among people from the US who stay in hotels. He said "Not at all". US guests at the hotel are among his favourites because they are usually cheerful, grateful for any help given and tip handsomely without any qualms.
Could it be that Dubs really aren't any better than the average population??
