Apostasy film just got nimonated for a BAFTA.

It didn't win but it was nominated in the Outstanding Debut film category! Wow!
They showed a clip and gave a very short explanation of the plot. It's all good publicity.

I did a double take when I heard it announced as I had the TV on in the background. I believe one of the actresses was nominated too.

It was pretty outstanding for a directorial debut.
If he goes on to produce more famous films, then more people might come back to this one for years to come.

Of course we have a special interest in it but it was an excellent movie in it's own right, well worth a watch.

I had no idea it had even been nominated for a BAFTA! A riveting film that captures so well the anquish of a JW parent who tries to make her way through the organization's unbending rules on having a disfellowshipped daughter. Heartbreaking.
