This is a web site that may interest many readers here. Not only is there a critical evaluation of the Creation book, but DiMaggio sent letters to the WT. Their response is of course Pathetic.

I read from that site two and a half years ago while I was knee deep in doubts about the Troof and Evilution. Good stuff. Dimaggio doesn't ever post here, does he? Seems like a cool enough guy.

Notice how those letters sound a lot like the "Letter to Dr. Laura" that got posted a few days ago?

What about the WT pathetic explanation of the Koala Bears? Even if it were possible and the Kangaroos, Koalas etc. migrate to Australia, should there then still be evidence of those animals in Asia and Europe?

Thanks for the link. I laughed at the lameness of the Society's responses. Good stuff!

You see, William, back then koalas never died. They were perfect until they left the Tigris-Euphrates valley and lived in Australia in opposition to God's commandments, thus making them imperfect and resulting in all the koala skeletons only being in Oz.

I abhorred the attitude of the branch when they basically said, "the Society is not beyond contstructive criticism" but them lambasted and threatened DiMaggio for the "way" that he did it... thereby deflecting attention away from the issues he raised. Pure arrogance displaying none of the humility that they supposedly allude to.

Di Maggio got the same sort of response that everyone else I know got, when they wrote the WTS about its horrendously bad Creation book. The author, one Harry Peloyan, a long time member of the Writing Staff and editor-in-chief of Awake! since the late 1970s, is a thoroughly dishonest man and completely unopen to criticism. I know this, because around 1996 I personally confronted him in the lobby of the 25 Columbia Heights building in Brooklyn, which at the time was the headquarters for the Governing Body. Peloyan was unwilling to listen to any criticisms, but could sure dish it out. I also wrote a number of critical letters in the early 1990s, without even a reply. I helped a couple of people write letters during the 1990s about specific errors in the book, and the response was always the same: "We don't agree that there are errors." This proved to the letter writers that Watchtower officials are dishonest to a man.

Di Maggio's critical essay on the Creation book is largely based on my earlier and much more extensive criticisms, which can be found here: http://www.geocities.com/osarsif/ce01.htm
