The Catholic church is really having to fess up. Check this out:

Spurred on by criminal investigations. The church is acting "ahead of the grand jury report."

Also exciting is the news that the whole thing began by two sisters who filed a motion to overturn an agreement that had been previously been made. Wouldn't THAT be a nightmare for the GB and their non-disclosure agreements?!

A better link here but you'll have to click off the pop ups. The extra info is worth it.

It doesn’t seem right that Watchtower can pay money in exchange for silence about what has happened. They should pay compensation and the matter should be public. I agree it will have an impact on donations if the details and the amounts paid become public knowledge. More importantly it may have an impact on changing their policy.

    @ slimboyfat...

I felt that way for a while, too...

...I think all of us, at one time or another, wanted the Org to crash-and-burn spectacularly.

I've made my peace with it, though...

...remember, a school of hungry piranhas can fukk up your shit way worse than one shark.

In the long run, it doesn't really matter how the Org gets tapped dry.
