Really, it is the lyrics that are so bad. Some kingdom songs tunes are atrocious but not for religious reasons.
Unfortunately if you have been exposed to the tunes for too long, the words come to mind unbidden.

Blondie. : that's the worst part, that is not nearly the worst tune they came up with. Some of the things now are teletubbies singing, off key with words that do not rhyme or carry a meter
