This evening I went to the 2003 Plano Texas Balloon Fest... it was great! I have never seen hot air balloons fly before, well, I've seen a few from a long distance, but nothing like this!

I was amazed at how quickly they were setup. It only took them 15 minutes from stopping the trucks, to launching them in the air!

Another thing that really surprised me was how quickly they rose up into the air... once they were ready and the pilots turned up the heat, they just shot up!

Here are a few pics from the event...

A couple of cute hotties who seemed very close. Mmmmm

Here is a mother of four.

You heard me right... a mother of FOUR!!! Dmn!

Here are the balloons being inflated...

Getting close to being ready to launch....

And there they all go.... off in the distance as the fair ends.

Sadly I didn't think to take any pics while they were being launched... I recorded that on video.

LOL... I know you took more ass shots than that! Go ahead and post them!

Looks like fun. There's a hot air balloon thing in Walla Walla, WA, every year. I've been to it once and it was kind of interesting.

Nice pics of what? The pics of the baloons or the rather well rounded south end of the mother of four ? Personally, I enjoyed the baloon pics, hardly noticed the others.

Nice pics! Looks like a lot more launched Saturday night than Saturday morning.

Were there a lot of special-shape balloons at night? The only special shapes we saw in the morning were the Beni Hana one, the cow, the penguin, the jack-o-lantern, and the panda.

This was Sunday evening and the last launch... I'm guessing that a lot of the other balloons had hit the highway by then. The only two special balloons were a big cube that was for AOL and other that looked like a cow.

I know a df'd brother who has a balloon business. He actually may have been there since he lives in Bulverde. Or maybe Austin now? So the mother of 4 started childbearing at 16? she's now 25? Been there, seen that.

We saw the balloon launch on Saturday morning on the way to the donut shop, and again Saturday evening, plus the tops of the fireworks (from Jennie's room -- she has the best view of all of us). Your photos of the BALLOONS were terrific, Elsewhere! Naughty boy . . . .
