  G'day all,

  Time to look at your "theocratic library". What do ya see? Just look at the titles:

  Religion

  Government

  Enemies

  Vindication

  Light

  New Heavens and a New Earth

  The Kingdom Is At Hand

  The Truth Shall Make You Free

  You May Survive Armageddon into God's New World

  Then Is Finished the Mystery of God

  The Nations Shall Know that I am Jehovah - How?

  Man's Salvation

  Babylon the Great Has Fallen! God's Kingdom Rules!

  Paradise Restored by Theocracy!

  God's Kingdom of a Thousand Years

  Notice anything? Yep, the titles of the Borg's books shown on the spines got bigger and bigger and bigger!

  Back in Joe Ratherflawed's time, he satisfied himself with short, sharp one-word titles. Then came Fred's term and titles went longer and longer.......just like his talks, eh?

  Now the WTS is naming their books with shorter titles again. Curious, ain't it? Does length matter?

  I wonder if it had something to do with ego...or maybe a feeling of inadequacy on the theological front.

  the old guys in charge can't think long enough to make up a long title

  I still think that ego has something to do with it. Joe Ratherflawed knew he was "the Boss" (as a publication referred to him), but since then, presidents have not held the same authority (or been held in such awe). I would suggest that each writer knew that and sub-consciously had to assert his "weight" of authority. Hence the long book titles.

  How about that for a theory!!

  I don't really care for the theory behind it. All I know is that "Isaiah's Prophecy" could have been called "A Deep and Lengthy Study Taken From the Scriptures and Focusing on Isaiah's Prophecy"

  Then everyone would refer to it as the "Deep Lengthy" book.
