A few years ago a JW lost her husband. She had enough money to build a nice home but she went over budget and the house remains unfinished. This past year another JW lost his wife... but there is a happy ending! This widow and widower fell in love with each other and married. Some of the JWs that know them are a little surprised as she is around 40 and he is around 70. But he is a member of the anointed so it must be Jehovah's will. Besides, it works out well because at his age he has a nice home and so she will be well taken care of. Praise Jehovah! Just think, in the new system, they will both be the same age.

In a more serious note, I don't see anything wrong with that. I learned from a reliable source of information that having a relationship with a much older person is not necessarily a bad thing, especially since the younger person in this case is 40. We're not taking about a teenager and a middle-age person. They both are grown up, mature adults.

Personally I'd be more concerned about he claiming to be anointed than anything else, mostly because all those "anointed" that I knew were all nut jobs.

The good thing about marrying someone much older than you is their role can be diversified. For example, in addition to being your spouse, they can also be your grandparent on-tap. And best of all, if you're not into romance, you can look forward to tucking them into bed early in the evening whilst you wile away the nocturnal hours doing hobbies and crafts.
