My nephew has awakened but is still at the beginning of his journey. He doesn't want to leave his mother (my sister) behind and is trying to help her think critically. (No chance of him being DFed because he was never baptized)
When I woke up I read Hassan's first book, Combating Cult Mind Control, but never read his next two, Releasing the Bonds and Freedom of Mind.
I'm going to buy one of them for my nephew. Which one would you recommend?
Why not Steven Hassan's, first book to start with.
Combating Cult Mind Control, I can remember there were no specific mentions of the WTS/jws, just cults in general. I liked the BITE model and have used it not only to jws but also other people I have met that have left a cult.
Zoos, I've read all three you referenced.
IMHO, Releasing the Bonds, is the best for a JW. It helped me!

I put off ready "Combatting......" for a long time. SO SORRY THAT I DID THAT!
It makes JWs look like the Poster Child for Cults! There is a "plan". There is a "strategy". It absolutely CANNOT be a coincidence that JWs perfectly align up with everything single identifying factor of a Cult! Those at "the top: know EXACTLY what they are doing to control the masses of Sheeple.
Don't put if off. Order it now!
