well, the NFL is due to kickoff Thursday, with the rest of the games going next Sunday,
many people outside the USA/Canada probaly can't figure out why it is so popular, rugby definitely has more action and contact, soccer shows incredible skills even in low scoring games and they pack the crowds in, Aussie rules football is very entertaining, so why is American Football so popular ???
the main reason .......... Las Vegas and gambling, plus the endless amount of pools (millions ansd millions)(i'm in 6 as of now, vary from $50-$500) across the nation.
most people don't care who wins, but by how much they win by, I have been in Vegas and seen people pull out $100,000 to wager on a single game. (happened at the mirage).
So as a loyal JW, did you gamble much, or were you in alot of football pools,
what is the Watchtower's description of gambling, stocks are okay, but not betting on teams or horses ???
do they view pools as gambling ???
