Maybe another premature loss due to this iniquitous policy.

Also part quote below from UK Guardian

Prince was believed to have been in need of a double hip replacement, an operation he rejected because it would have required him to accept a blood transfusion, which conflicted with his beliefs as Jehovah’s witness.

    Also this was stated.

On Wednesday, an administrator was appointed to oversee Prince’s estate. The singer died without leaving a will, and on Tuesday his sister, Tyka Nelson, asked the Carver County probate court in Minneapolis to appoint Bremer Bank, National Association to handle the estate, saying it “has provided financial services to the Decedent for a number of years and has knowledge of his personal financial and business financial affairs”.

Hopefully that means JWs wont get any sizeable part of his estate.

Yes indeed the mighty Watchtower may have indirectly caused another death of an individual to add to the thousands already.

    Way to go WTS.

Since when does a hip replacement require a blood transfusion? I thought that ended back in the 1970s. I know literally a dozen JWs (including family members) that have undergone successful hip replacement without needing a blood transfusion.

Perhaps not all doctors who perform this surgery will agree to bloodless surgery but many, many will do so.

But, not seeing anything else that Prince was really to "bright" of a guy. (Joined a cult as an adult. Died knowing he was ill without leaving a will.)

Maybe the possibility of acquiring a BT could have added to his decision to not get the operation, instead the pain reduction drugs were the temporary answer and perhaps he hung on too long to them if they were the opiate variety.

Also some people are just nervous to have any kind of major surgery.

Whether he repelled the operation due to the BT concerns will be left in open speculation and hearsay.
