Too much copy and pasting of too many links.

Perry, I prefer heartfelt small posts. Sorry, no cigar.

    ..and as for:

Could the Watchtower have been wrong about earths' age along with all the other things they got wrong??

Nooooooo, you didn't ask that......there's only one possible answer!

    What if..

I love the subtext in this post.

"What if? Please let this be true. It would really help me with my delusion..."

Snowbird the earth is 4.543 billion years old. There is no place for superstition in a question of scientific fact.

    No superstitions here,Cofty.

I extrapolated the aforesaid information from the printed page and arrived at the above conclusion.

Same way that you and others arrived at yours.

Putting something in print doesn't make it objectively true. Harry Potter is in print. That doesn't make quidditch an actual sport.

Same way that you and others arrived at yours

No not the same way at all. The bible was written by ignorant nomads and goat herders in a pre-scientific world. Every page exposes that it has no superhuman origin. Apart from the errors and contradictions it promotes the same standard of ethics as ISIS.

On the other hand the age of earth has been calculated by comparing the evidence from multiple independent fields of science.

We will never agree on this, Cofty, so I'll leave it alone.

I do, however, appreciate the information on telomeres that you were so kind to mention some time ago.

    Thanks.

We will agree if you are willing to examine the evidence honestly.

If you equate feelings and superstitions with facts then you are right we will never agree.

What if the Universe is 28, 336 years young?
What if each "day" of Creation was 3,760 years?

Then your version of young earth creationism would be as wrong as every other version, provably so.
