  Our illustrious leader, Justin Trudeau, has just announced a half a $billion fund that will be given out to "trustworthy" news sources.

  Of course this will have nothing todo with the fact that there will be a federal election next year and there are plenty of bad things to highlight in the Liberals record. They will obviously dole the money out in a totally impartial manner, even handing funding to reporters that are critical of them and Trudeau. "trustworthy" news sources won't just be a euphemism for "writes positive stories about me, avoids negative ones". Yeah, right ...

  This is shameful and far, far beyond anything that people seem to go ape-shit over with Trump - sending a disrespectful reporter out of a room is labelled an attack on the press and undermining democracy and yet there's almost silence about what Trudeau is now doing which is far, far more sinister and impactful.

  The silence tells you the promise of withholding money from "journalists" is already a powerful incentive.

  If you want to see real attacks on democracy, look left.

  CNN reporter Jim Acosta reporter should definitely be allowed back into the press briefing-room...once he gives a public apology to the president for his obvious disrespect.

  There is nothing keeping Trudeaus critics, such as yourself, from speaking out in any forum or public media. Much ado about nothing.

  Left-wing politicians in positions of power are usually careful enough to add a veneer of caring or compassion.

  Of course, if you look at it critically and scratch beneath the surface you'll find that it's a sham designed to control the media.

  Jeremy Corbyn wants to control the British press, too.

  Some right-wing politicians want to control the press but they tend not to be so enthusiastic about it because they tend towards freedom of speech, something the Left is busy trying to stifle.

  You think a Pravda style, state funding of the press where one party gets to decide who gets the money based on the articles they write ... is equivalent?

  Add in the liberal media suppression of content on various platforms and bam, you have the type of control we used to think only existed in places like China.

  I doubt it. When they came into office they promised a new era of transparency. The reality is that they have hidden more information and refused to answer questions on more things than any government in living memory.

  These are not honest and open people. They are corrupt beyond belief and they are running the country into the ground.

  Public support for a free press is not tyranny.

  And when Trumpolini called on Acosta he involved him in a give and take exchange. Reporters who are called on get a chance to follow up, Trump does not follow these protocols. Our Nazionalist President threw protocol aside and when you do that you should of complain about impertinent reporters asking pointed questions.

  Yeah, because asking a reporter (who is hogging the mike and making speeches instead of asking questions) to hand it to the female assistant is just so "hitler", exactly what the nazis used to do.
