For those in the UK, note they are discussing JWs on R2 (shortly after 1pm) today. They were asking to hear from those brought up as JWs but I guess too late now.

You should be able to listen on catch-up afterwards at http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio (look for the Jeremy Vine show), but not sure if you can get it if you're overseas.

I wonder why Mr Vine was discussing the jobos?

Naomi talked too fast and didnt once use the word cult which was a shame, but she mentioned cog dis, mind control and talked a lot about the shunning issue. No mention of child abuse either. But for the few minutes given it was probably best not to jump around too much.

Not sure if the show will come back to it later on or if those few minutes were it.

"Jehovah's Witnesses: We talk to a woman whose parents were Jehovah witnesses."

    That's all folks!

They have been taking emails and texts on the subject , most of which are negative . A lot being said about shunning and splitting up families .

I thought Naomi did brilliantly ! she communicated well on some quite arcane aspects of JWdom.

Jeremy Vine came over as grasping how weird a JW upbringing is.

Radio 2 covered child abuse back in Feb. If you research Jehovah witnesses on their website a number of topics come up

I think she did great - really got across the sense of isolation as a child and the brainwashing and control and the impact of leaving on family relationships.

You can only cover so many points in a limited period of time.
