OK, so the title is just an idea the society / GB could adopt.

Clearly there is very little growth from outsiders coming into the organization. The ONLY REAL growth is coming from children being born into the faith.

The broadcasts, and the stuff on the official website for children gives proof of the manipulative techniques the GB is using by way of propaganda on these born in young ones.

So, it is not a huge leap to suggest that if the society wants to maintain growth, then they HAVE to encourage witness couples to keep popping out offspring!

    No birth control perhaps??

Will that still apply to those of us born in the 1940's?

In a past and very parochial cong there were those who got married and 40m weeks from the day and that time period thereafter had another and another...

It was something about the guilt trip of having sex for pleasure rather than procreation. It was the hard liners who did this.

The OT law outlawed the rhythm method, allowed sex only in the fertile middle of the cycle. Everything else is so OT for jws, so why not go back to nature and praise he cradle?

  • waton, are you referring to this when Onan withdrew before he ejaculated?

38 And at that time Judah went down from his brothers’ company, and got to a certain ʽAdullamite named Hirah. 2 And Judah saw there a daughter of a certain Canaanite named Shuaʽ, and took her and went in to her, 3* and she became pregnant and had a son, whom she named ʽEr; 4 and again she became pregnant and had a son, whom she named Onan; 5* and she had one more son and named him Shelah; she was at Kezib when he was born.

6 And Judah married his eldest son ʽEr to a wife named Tamar. 7 And Judah’s eldest son ʽEr displeased Jehovah, and Jehovah caused his death. 8 And Judah said to Onan “Go in to your brother’s widow and do a brother-in-law’s duty by her and set up a posterity for your brother.” 9 And Onan knew the posterity would not belong to him; and if he went in to his brother’s wife he wasted his germs on the ground so as not to give his brother a posterity. 10 And what Onan did displeased Jehovah, and he caused his death too.

  • Ten Questions About Sex Answered
  • 5 Is it wrong for married couples to use contraceptives?

    ▪ Answer: Jesus did not command his followers to have children. Neither did any of Jesus’ disciples issue any such directive. Nowhere does the Bible explicitly condemn birth control.

Married couples, therefore, are free to decide for themselves whether they will raise a family or not. They may also decide how many children they will have and when they will have them. If a husband and wife choose to use a nonabortive form of contraception to avoid pregnancy, that is their personal decision and responsibility.* No one should judge them.—Romans 14:4, 10-13.

no, sorry my memory is that sex was outlawed until 1 0r two weeks after the end of the monthly blood flow. that would bring the first, and eagerly awaited unprotected sex into the fertility dates, a perfect recipe for population grows through copulation, not cart standing. Blondi probably could help us helpless males in a jiffy.

George, try Leviticus 15:28 or cross references. point being sex is only kosher 8 days after the end of the blood flow., ~ when the ripe ovum descends into the accessible region.

Just a point, not having sex during your period is not guarantee of not getting pregnant.

If a man and a woman deliberately cohabited during her menstrual impurity, they were cut off in death. (Le 18:19; 20:18)

Leviticus 15:28. a week after the out period, it is sanctioned, and by the way, the beginning of the fertile time.
