    Mad: I never knew that. I only ever saw the NWT at the Kingdom hall (Except for the library.) I was born in 78 so probably too late

    Doug: Friedman tried. He really did. He identified the Yahwist and general duteronomists. I know there are two layers of duteronomist editing. Also Priestly editing finalized it all. I'm working on the earliest version at the moment. (I have already done the Elohist)

    I asked you what your intention is when you write: "isolating text of the Deuteronomistic history".

    Friedman's work addresses the first 5 books, whereas the DH stretches further, in which Deuteronomy forms only the first scroll of the history. Hence my question.

    No criticism, just curious, given your statement.
