So, just chilling and watching Much Music (Canadian MTV).

You Can Call Me Al is playing. (This particular song is meh)

Paul Simon is a tremendous artist.

In my top-ten of American musical artists.

If he was raised a Jehovah's Witness his talent would have been repressed.

That's true but some people have pressed on past that repression and become wonderful artists.

I think of all the women through history that were repressed in scientific fields, etc., wondering what the human family lost because of that.

Graceland is one of the all time greats.

    A superb lyricist.

Whenever you see an interview of Paul Simon, there is never an example of a more sincere, non-egotistical humanitarian.

He was excellent....and I adored Simon and garfunkel....but I saw him a little while ago on snl and he needs to hang it up....it was sadly bad. We all lose it over time.....eventually...😞

"Still a man hears what he wants to hear and disregards the rest." (Lyrics from the Boxer, Paul Simon).

The human tendency to want something to be true so very badly, that all the contrary stuff is ignored. Sums up the JW mentality - and any religious mentality perfectly.

The Mississippi delta is shining like a national guitar.

Best opening line to a song ever
