  This is from earlier this month. The opening line of the article reads:

  The share of Americans who identify as white and Christian has dropped below 50 percent, a transformation fueled by immigration and by growing numbers of people who reject organized religion altogether, according to a new survey released Wednesday.

  Not to say that Christians are the minority. They're still at around 70%. Just white Christians are no longer above 50%. For various reasons, including rises in Christianity from other races while white members are falling away.

  The share of Americans who identify as white and Christian has dropped below 50 percent - maybe so, but I'm willing to bet white, Christian people are the largest group in the US even though they are less than 50%.

  This is just the obsession with intersectionality.

  Have an opinion on something? The value of your argument depends on whether you are a white male, black woman, lesbian midget or a transgender muslim (that last one is a real unicorn).

  Whichever way any bias falls it's always bias - opinions should stand or fall based on the merit of the argument alone, not the person saying it.

  Both white people and Christians are still the majority (or largest segment) in the US within their individual groups.
