Why then would it not be appropriate to state that the WTS . in its operational workings as a publishing house be recognized as an exercising endeavor in apostasy toward the bible and the teachings of Jesus Christ ?

One should honestly say the reason they don't want to participate in the Watchtower Corporation is that they don't want to support and immerse themselves in apostasy ???

    simple and to the point

Yes, that's the way to handle troubling matters..."just smother the concerns...stuff em deep inside and ignore them"...

Stupid people...... that is what counsellors call a dangerous recipe...one that causes a person to eventually "bust"!

How many have heard this classic line: "He just thought himself out of the truth!"

"In science, it's dangerous to lie; if discovered, the liar is cast out of the group as a faker and fraud. In religion......,it's dangerous to tell the truth: if discovered, the truth-teller is cast out of the group as a heretic and a traitor." - Thomas Szasz

Let it be understood that religions are established and created by men who are endeavored to advocate their own power and control around themselves and they look for people who will support that intention.

Religious leaders don't want people analyzing their doctrines for the simple reason those established doctrines are ones that have been established toward that appealing power and control.

When one takes into account that this religion was developed in support of a publishing house and the financial support of that business, it becomes relatively easy to determine why the WTS carefully watched out for possible dissidents

You don't have the right to question because you don't have the given holy recognized power to question those doctrines, to do so would instigate being quickly placed at the back of the Hall with duct tape over your mouth.

Yes, I was told the same thing by an elder ... "Brother Eden, you're very intelligent, but that intelligence isn't doing you any good, you should back away from researching certain things. The 'slave' has done all the research and thinking for us already, so that we don't have to do it."

    Typical.

Of course. ''Thinking'' and using one's mind is forbidden. Can't use your mind.

In the cult mind set individuals within these cults don't hold the rights to their own intellect or informational knowledge they may acquire.

To seek outside knowledge is deemed shameful and guilty of disloyalty or weak., cowardly even

Being disloyal to the higher power as it may be.

You see, that's the Borg using manipulation with guilt and fear. To make people feel ''week and/or disloyal'' by not thinking within that proverbial box, so to speak.
