A lot of facial hair rules depend on where you are and who your elders are. A local congregation made a man shave off his mustache before he could have 'privileges'. My JW brother-in-law in another state has a goatee and is still in good standing. But he's not exactly falling over himself to move up the JW ranking ladder.

In addition to heeding the 'no beard' zone at the kh, also make sure you warn all the young sisters that are not married not to 'even consider' a brother who is over 23 that is not a MS. Don't want to piss off Tony Tightpants!
