    Here's a couple:

    Servant

    Another waking dream

    You are the theme

    Bend, quiver; shiver

The way a match lights a candle

    My words blink formation.

I bend with each stone of personal creation.

    Frost, bone, marrow flows,

    The fervent prayer.

Each vein of sweat is a lane

    Each shudder is your name.

    -------------------------------------------

    Verse

Every breath is an agony of silence,

    stillness within stillness

'till the world is wrapped in quietude.

    My heart unfolds--

A sun in morning exploding above stones

above the piled stones of a mountain.

The shadows are deep and full of bones

    the quieter I step.

    ----------------------------------------------

    Athena

My lips touch the hairs of your neck, your body

the place where the moon settled when the sky fell--

    you catch it

gently bring it back to it's resting place.

    You thought nothing of it.

    -------------------------------------------------

    To Her

You are an ocean of dim light,

    verseless candle.

You are an ivory sickle swinging upon a low bough,

your blade moves upon my belly.

You are an avenue of wishes,

    many lanes.

You are the face of an old pocketwatch,

in your ceaseless rummaging of sheet and bed.

Your body is the mouth of an angel-

    speaks with forgotten words.

You are the life of my youth,

my body cries out, a hungry child.

    --------------------------------------------------

Enjoy, or don't, as you like.

You are an ivory sickle swinging upon a low bough,

your blade moves upon my belly.

This part reached out and grabbed me.

    Good stuff, Ashitaka.

I love it! Thanks for sharing with us - that always takes a lot of courage. Perhaps getting back into poetry can further the healing? Just a thought. Don't underestimate your talents and gifts - we are meant to share them with each other!

Love to you and your sweetie,

    Hi andi,

Thanks. I'll think I'll try my hand at one soon. Haven't tried in a year.
