1 . If Jehovahs witnesses ARE using the wrong name of God "Jehovah" how would that affect your worship ?

    2. If Yahweh is the more correct name of God of the Bible how does that affect your worship ?

3.Jehovahs Witnesses put great emphasis on Gods name ,sanctifying it treating it as "Holy" and that jehovahs witnesses are to make it known in all the earth

,What if they have got the name wrong all of these years.?

    4. What if they have had the name wrong for the past 100+ years.?

There was a reason why Jesus told us to call YHWH 'our father' when he taught people how to pray. It is so much more intimate, respectful and loving.

What do most of us call our own father. Do we call him by his actual name or refer to him as dad. What is more appropriate and fitting.

YHWHs name is possibly Yahweh, yehovah, yehowa and so forth. But calling on God by referring to him 'Father' when approaching him in prayer is appropriate and fitting.

As G Jackson said in a recent broadcast, we don't exactly know what the correct pronunciation is!

So witnesses have had it wrong for decades!

I believe J.W's will answer the correct pronunciation isn't important. They will say what Jehover / Yahweh finds offensive is being referred to as God.

And let's face it showing the name Jehover in the " King James" Bible, is a great selling point.

Ï ask Witnesses why God made sure no one would be able to know His real name. Do you think for a moment that God could not protect His name at least in a few manuscripts? Could it be that God was behind the obscuring of His name. ...because He wanted the name of Jesus to have preeminence?

If God wanted His first name to be known and used wouldn't He have Jesus use it at least once in the New Testament?

This Supposed Almighty God couldn't preserve his own name in his own book for almost 1875 years until C.T Russel would appear and then restore it. Absurd !!

Jehovah was first used by a Catholic Monk in the 13th century then became part of the 19th century fashionable religious nonsense and then turned into a brand name in the 20th century by a desperate WTBTS who was frantic to get untangled from the International Bible Students who had left the Society in large numbers (they basically did not buy into Rutherford's BS).

About the 13th century the term "Jehovah" appeared when Christian scholars took the consonants of "Yahweh" and pronounced it with the vowels of "Adonai." This resulted in the sound "Yahowah," which has a Latinized spelling of "Jehovah." The first recorded use of this spelling was made by a Spanish Dominican monk, Raymundus Martini, in 1270.
Interestingly, this fact is admitted in much Jehovah's Witness literature, such as their Aid to Bible Understanding (p. 885).

The name isn't the only issue.......Being a witness for Jehovah was mentioned one time in the OT specifically to Isaiah.

However the word witness, whether a verb or a noun, is used extensively in the NT as it relates to the Christ.

The noun marturi<a occurs fourteen times in the Gospel, and
the verb marture<w thirty-three times; in the Johannine Epistles
marturi<a occurs seven times, and marture<w ten times; and in
Revelation marturi<a is used nine times, and marture<w four times.
The Johannine usages of these two terms outnumber their total usage
in the rest of the New Testament............................
The support for His claims became the witness which is
Christian testimony. This term thus became the summary of the
apologetic teaching that the Gospel advanced in defense of Jesus'
    life and work.

How did the WTBTS miss this? Willingly.

It was and continues to be a disaster. The name Jehovah needs the explanation God added to it so people around the world can understand who in the hell the WT is talking about.

In my opinion they destroyed forever their integrity by avoiding the name Christian Witness. I can only surmised that their interest in the Old Testament needed a pretend bridge to make it work with the New Testament.

They went down the wrong highway and have been a lost cause ever since.
