I was at Disney and when the song was on for a show it seemed to describe one leaving. What do you think? Here are lyrics and my thoughts in ()

The snow glows white on the mountain tonight
Not a footprint to be seen.
A kingdom of isolation, (immediate isolation when entire social network cut off and shuns)
and it looks like I'm the Queen (only one alone)
The wind is howling like this swirling storm inside
    Couldn't keep it in;
Heaven knows I've tried (start of waking up to break free of jw cult)
    Don't let them in,
    don't let them see
Be the good girl you always have to be (must be perfect as a jw and no individual personality or thoughts)
    Conceal, don't feel,
don't let them know (hide doubts, block emotions, dont mention what's happening inside)
Well now they know (finally stopped hiding)
Let it go, let it go
    Can't hold it back anymore
Let it go, let it go
Turn away and slam the door (leave and don't look back)
    I don't care
what they're going to say (disassociation gossip)
Let the storm rage on.(fallout of family and friends)
The cold never bothered me anyway (dont let icy shunning get to you)
    It's funny how some distance
Makes everything seem small (finally out and what mattered before is nothing anymore)
And the fears that once controlled me
Can't get to me at all (free of jw fears)
It's time to see what I can do
To test the limits and break through
No right, no wrong, no rules for me,
I'm free! (finally free of jws, learn yourself, no more rules to dictate to you right and wrong. Discover yourself)
Let it go, let it go
I am one with the wind and sky
Let it go, let it go
    You'll never see me cry
    Here I stand
    And here I'll stay
    Let the storm rage on
My power flurries through the air into the ground
My soul is spiraling in frozen fractals all around
And one thought crystallizes like an icy blast
I'm never going back, the past is in the past (old self dying)
Let it go, let it go
And I'll rise like the break of dawn(true self arises)
Let it go, let it go
That perfect girl is gone (reborn)
    Here I stand
In the light of day (no more jw lies)
    Let the storm rage on
The cold never bothered me anyway

Ha, when I was still in and trying desperately to hang on I was wrestling with a decision to keep trying to fit in. I was trying so hard to fit the mold. I was talking about it with my wife while cleaning a house, went out to the van while she finished mopping, and suddenly I heard a little girl's voice belting out "let it go". I looked all around and in all of the years we had cleaned there I had never noticed the play set in back of the neighbor's house across the street, and certainly never saw any kids. In a moment of deep thought and concern with a decision to make the song came through. My wife even got me a keychain with "let it go" engraved on it. It proved to be a valuable phrase and I never knew the words above. It's very fitting.

Love this! You are not alone-- my family and I recently said the same thing about this song... it touches a cord- and you know, it does fit the fading out and finally coming out circumstances quite well!

Somebody could make a good music video w/ this. And for the line, "Turn away and slam the door", doing that at a kingdomhall lol.
