Caesar is forcing the WTS to do something "open and transparent." That would be something.

A few of us XJWs and victims in Victoria, Australia, are following this very closely, as too is one very large and reputable class action law firm that I know of.

Best of all, there isn't anything in "God's Law" that really excuses them from complying.

No wonder WTHQ got the Aussie Branches to wire all their money to the US.

Something like this must certainly be a worry to them. If it went through I'm pretty sure it would mean selling the bethel and a few assembly halls.

There is already a legal entity that can be sued.

Anything that makes it easier for the fakers, faders, and fence-sitters to leave...

Watchtower Australia does not have the assets. See below.

The above amount is equivalent to US$1.5 million. That is pretty much all the assets that can be seized in any class action lawsuit. See the link in my above post.

However the branch committee members and certain JW leaders in Australia are underwritten via US-based insurance on an individual basis. We have the policy account numbers courtesy of the ARC. They can now be sued collectively as the Church of Jehovah's Witnesses instead of Watchtower Australia which is more-or-less a management and consulting company for congregations and elders, but not members of the congregations.
