The Houthis began attacking ships in the Red Sea around November 2023, shortly after the start of the Israel-Hamas war. Their attacks included hijacking commercial vessels and launching missile and drone strikes against various ships.

When Kamala ran for the next President of the USA, she made the comment that there were no Americans soldiers fighting anywhere n the world. She had no clue what the USA Military was doing. She was not Commander and Chief Material and never will be.

There is talk, conspiracy maybe, maybe not, that when President Biden ordered military strikes against Houthi targets in Yemen, Biden had no idea what was happening due to his cognitive decline. So the question remains, who ordered the attack on Jan. 2024?????? For entire year the Houthis spread terror to merchant vessels.

Once Trump took office January 20, 2025, by March 15, 2025 Trump ordered the attack on Houthis in Yemen. This military action was part of a response to their attacks on U.S. ships and other targets.

This agreement followed a period of intense airstrikes by the U.S . against Houthi positions in Yemen.

By May 6, 2025, less than two months the United States announced a ceasefire with the Houthis after the Houthis agreed to stop targeting commercial shipping in the Red Sea.

Here is a brief video on the technology and firepower of the USA Military use to stop the Houthis in just one incident that lasted on a few minutes. It took the USA less than two month to stop all the terrorist attacks on cargo ships.

The Helicopters were equipped with AN/APS-153 (V) Radar. This radar uses a special mode called “Moving Target indicator” As the target moves, the Doppler shifts caused by the relative motion between the radar and the different parts of the target. Thus it is able to tell if there is something solid in the water or just another wave, from miles away.

Notice the firepower in each of the two Sea-Hawks Helicopters that stopped 4 Houtis boat armed with Rockets, RPGS, and PKM.The merchant vessels were outgunned, and had the Houtis captured the vessel, all on the personal and security would have been killed.

    Interesting.

The basic story is perfectly true, but the video is typical YouTube fare. --Five different HSM units (That I counted) assigned to five different carrier strike groups, three of which aren't actually in the Middle East

    True! I counted the same.

But I assumed the video was focusing on the strategy and military might of the USA rather than the "actual fight portrayed"

The poster of these videos is "Beyond Military" (We take you beyond the news – uncovering surprising military insights and game-changing tech that transform how you understand global conflict.)

I'm into military strategy and technology, and I thought this was interesting insight regarding the Houthis, their capability vs the USA military's capabilities.
