What you will find below is a very short story. I have written it.
I was 'drunk on Lovecraft' when I crafted it.
It is pure horror and blasphemy. Only Ex-JW's can perhaps fully grasp the depth of the horror...

Are you acquainted with Clark Ashton Smith, the Bard of Auburn, California? I read him every night at bedtime and takes notes, which is my wont.
I will look into Lovecraft, who was friends with CAS. Oh, your tale of horror, too.

Never mind. I found it. You posted it right here on JWN about two years ago. I liked it, though I admit it's a kinda out there (weird) and the (purposely antiquated) language is a bit difficult to follow. Still, it was nice to read it again. Thanks for reminding us of it.
FYI, the version you posted on here directly is much easier to read than the one on Google Drive. The font is easier on the eyes and the characters are a much deeper black.

I should have checked that I'd previously posted.
I did some editing (removing opening paragraphs).
The trippy language of Lovecraft is what I was after. The problem is--the ease of comprehension is slowed.
Since I started reading (age 5) I tried picking difficult books to improve. The problem with that is you develop an ear for puffy purple sentence structure :)
I appreciate anybody who is willing to read all that.

My son did his masters on Lovecraft and among others developed a "Weird tales" course that he teaches at college. I will ask him to take a look.

I started reading Lovecraft in my early teens. I realized that lived with one of those monsters of his writing who masqueraded as human.
