    Yes, Jesus speaks of a reward for the help you offered to his missionaries.

    Albeit he says what would be sufficient for a reward (repayment):

    - its enough that you comfort the missionaries .....(but not if they suffer persecution for dumb errors of doctrine and organizational direction)

    - its enough that you receive the missionaries .....(but not that you donate all your savings and voluntary time to build expensive mansions or Headquarters.)

    - its enough that you give them a cup of cold water (not monthly payings for lifelihoods in bethel)

    Jesus speaks of acts of help done.... in case of need.... to every prophet .....and every righteous brother .....and every little disciple ....not of a blind obidience..... to a dozen self-anointed.... prophets, a dozen righteous brothers, a dozen little ones who form a clique and call themselves "steward"

    Dont let you cheat that there are some closer to him brothers, that are stewards.

    JW want to read "Whoever works fulltime for my steward because he is a stewardbrother, will receive a jackpot steward's award", what is certainly a possibilty but not the main purpose of his words.

    Many have been layed off by the stewardbrother, what will be their stewards's reward?

    The average RIF has no choice but to like it and mutter it in an undertone day and nite, cause they have been programed to do only that. Even if there was a new song coming out with new light, like "Im dreaming of a Wwwwhite Christmas", the RIF would embrace the new song like a lost sheep.

    While thousands of JWs profess to be anointed, it remains that, a profession. However, there are seven men in this organization whose “annointedness” is beyond question.

    There’s enough plausible deniability to say this song is about the “anointed remnant”, but in reality it really means the Governing Body.

    The WTS forgets that when Jesus said these words all Christians were anointed and his brothers. That the GB was not a subset of this group...but all equal in the same group. They would all rule in heaven with Christ.

    But now the WTS has created a secondary group that they rule over on earth; that they act as a mediator for the great crowd to Jesus then to God.

    Not what Jesus was talking about.

    12 First-century Christians were declared righteous and anointed with holy spirit for the purpose of enabling them to receive their heavenly inheritance. Their anointing did not elevate them to kingship over fellow anointed Christians while still on earth. Evidently, some early Christians lost sight of that fact and began seeking undue prominence among their brothers in the congregation. As a result, Paul was moved to ask: “You men already have your fill, do you? You are rich already, are you? You have begun ruling as kings without us, have you? And I wish indeed that you had begun ruling as kings, that we also might rule with you as kings.” (1 Cor. 4:8) Therefore, Paul reminded anointed ones of his day: “Not that we are the masters over your faith, but we are fellow workers for your joy.”—2 Cor. 1:24.

  • 7, 8. What do anointed Christians not expect, and why?

    7 Although it is a wonderful privilege to have the heavenly calling, anointed Christians do not expect any special honor from others. (Eph. 1:18, 19; read Philippians 2:2, 3.) Jehovah’s spirit bore witness to them personally. No announcement was made to the world. So they are not surprised if some people do not readily believe that they have truly been anointed by holy spirit. In fact, they realize that the Scriptures advise against quickly believing someone who claims to have a special appointment from God. (Rev. 2:2) In no way, then, would they use their anointing as a “calling card” to introduce themselves to others. For the most part, they would not even mention this personal experience to others, so as to avoid drawing attention to themselves; neither would they want to boast about their future reward.—1 Cor. 1:28, 29; read 1 Corinthians 4:6-8.

    8 In addition, anointed Christians do not view themselves as being part of an elite club. They do not seek out others who claim to have the same calling, hoping to bond with them or endeavoring to form private groups for Bible study. (Gal. 1:15-17) Such efforts would cause divisions within the congregation and work against the holy spirit, which promotes peace and unity.—Read Romans 16:17, 18.
