I never in my 15 year association with the Watchtower know of it giving material help to members. There was help given in the congregation but it came from the pockets of a few generous elders. The clean up and repairs done for example in Home Stead Florida during I think hurricane Andrew did help some members but was more of a PR stunt. -

LAF - Lots of congregations CAUSED Distress but I wonder if anyone knows of a congregation giving financial aid locally to a brother?
No. Not in all my 50 years in the filthy cult. The organisation did less than nothing. Individuals helped others but out of their own pockets.

In the cong. I grew up in a family needed help so the members have a whole bunch of food and probably some cash. In my last cong. there was a find to help people in need and I knew one that got help. I dont think this fund exists anymore because someone needed help badly a year ago and no cong. money was offered up.
