Third and final article on Maria Russell. Most interesting of the lot, I think.

Thanks, really interesting. I still wonder how much Maria contributed to the Studies. I've always thought the Divine Plan was really well written, compare to other religious literature of the time period. Compare it to the Three Worlds, which Barbour wrote and Russell financed. The Three Worlds is virtually unreadable by modern standards, yet the Divine Plan is readable. Probably the Divine Plan's ease of reading was one of the reasons the Bible Student movement took off like it did.
It would be interesting to see a linguistic comparison of the early Studies with works known to have been written by Maria and those of Charles.

A comparison is possible. Mrs. Russell's book is downloadable. And there is an unpublished mss that I think is still available online.
Mom and Uncle B's conclusions are found in Separate Identity, vol. 2. Personally, I think C. T. was right when he compared her work to that of a secretary.
