Start a new topic or post on an older one?
As often noted by our forum members, identical subjects are posted but on new threads, by different people. Yesterday, I asked a question on a medical issue that has been discussed dozens of times. I posted on an older thread that related closest to my thoughts. As has happened many times before, there was no response.
Therefore, is it better to start a "New Topic," rather than post on an appropriate but older thread?
I think it depends - if it's a natural continuation of the topic, posting on the old one makes sense.
Sometimes it's really a "fresh" conversation though.
I think sometimes if people read an old topic and know the people had the conversation 10+ years ago, there's slightly less inclination to continue it than if it's new.
I guess, then, I'll start anew.
Gratefully, . . .
I would suggest posting a new one but referencing the old one.
That's a good idea, Blondie!
Going to do that right now.
