All of these sales should be a windfall in real estate tax revenue for Brooklyn Heights.

Other than maintaining the property in excellent condition (at the expense of R&F JW's) which benefits surrounding property values, what did WT do to benefit the neighborhood?

Very little , really. They didn't pay any property taxes ( saving $370 million that would have gone to the community ) and as a non-profit , they won't pay any capital gains tax on their vast real estate profits. As a very insular organisation and suspicious of "the world" , they had very little interaction with the locals.
