The above is a three dimensional reconstruction of some of the principal architectural features of an absorptive cell lying in the simple columnar epithelium of the small intestine.

Vidqun - where is your evidence though? There's no evidence that eukaryotes were introduced by an intelligence - our inability to recreate their evolution in controlled conditions is not evidence that it did not happen naturally at some point.

Conversely, it doesn't rule out the possibility that it happened supernaturally.

    Snowbird,

The theory of evolution does not contain statements on the existence or non-existence of any gods. So ruling gods out or not is not relevant.

On the other hand, for creation to be true at least one Creator must exist. So for creationists it's very much mandatory to prove the existence of such a being.

My point was that the challenge Cofty presented was for someone to provide evidence for creation, not more unsubstantiated hypotheses that do less to satisfy occam's razor than does evolution.

What about the evidence of obvious design being presented by Vidquin?

JWs unknowingly believe in a form of Evolution:

    From the Reasoning Book:

Did God create all the millions of varieties of organisms that exist on earth today?

Genesis chapter 1 says simply that God created each “according to its kind.” (Gen. 1:12, 21, 24, 25) In preparation for the global Flood in Noah’s day, God directed that representative members of each “kind” of land animal and flying creature be taken into the ark. (Gen. 7:2, 3, 14) Each “kind” has the genetic potential for great variety. Thus there are reportedly more than 400 different breeds of dogs and upwards of 250 breeds and types of horses. All interfertile varieties of any animal are just one Genesis “kind.” Similarly, all varieties of humans—Oriental, African, Caucasian, those as tall as the seven-foot Dinka in the Sudan and as short as the four-foot-four-inch Pygmies—stem from the one original pair, Adam and Eve.—Gen. 1:27, 28; 3:20.

OneEyedJoe, the fact that we cannot reproduce the processes in a lab says a lot. What is the chances that it'll take place in the primordial soup? Cells decay and die when they finish their life cycle, they don't improve themselves and turn into a superior cell. That's contrary to nature.

You betray a lack of understanding of both how evolution works and the timescales involved.

@vidqun - cofty was pretty clear how he wanted this to work in his OP, including this:

Please post your interest to take part and we will set it up before the first actual post in the exchange.

I might have it wrong, but it looks like he wants 1 thread per challenger/topic, probably to keep it tidy and reference-able after the fact.
