There has been a lot of patriotic talk going on which has caused a lot of arguments, I figured instead of all this badness it would be cool if we could share with each other why we love where we are and what we are part of so much and what causes us to be patriotic.

I love where I live so much so I wanted to share with you all a bit of my life.

Ok so you will all probably find this boring but hey ho:

Here is the link to a short tourist film to my home county and my everyday surroundings, please have a look:

and here is the website http://www.kenttourism.co.uk

    and to my town www.ashford.gov.uk

Just wanted to share this with you all, hope you enjoy.

I am sold. Since I was able to smuggle romance novels (Barbara Cartland) into the house, I wanted to visit England. Bath was always popular in her novels, which I see is near Kent.

I live in central Ohio...we do have a Kent, Ohio, however I fear it will not be as much fun or scenic. Since we are in middle-America, we have no ocean....only a few big lakes.

Tourism is not big here. Distribution, Logistics, Insurance, Banking and other dull stuff that makes the economy tic.

Thanks for bringing that up! We live a wonderful life, and we are so lucky. I guess sometimes we take it for granted, and that therein may be the problem. We just don't ever think that this country would ever turn into a dictatorship. We can't comprehend. I love that I can speak my mind, be it pro or anti government.. I am so lucky that i have this privilege. I love my country, and I am so thankful for the troops that are willing to go into battle with their lives on the line and save ths freedom for me.

    Matt,

I am pleased to see that the cameras studiously avoided focusing on Chatham and Gillingham...lol Only teasing - Kent has some of the best pubs with the realest ales that I have ever encountered.

Matt - I love Kent - why? Because it's near Calais - which means Cite Europe - which means CHEAP BOOZE!!! Not really, Kent is wonderful not just because it's the gateway to Europe, it has the most stunning countryside and architecture in Britain.
