You may well be right Searcher, the G.B will have seen the pathetic efforts of their fellow member, G.J, on the stand, and think "we can't have the On-line backlash that provoked happening again !"
The only way they might get away with it would be to send old Rubber-Face, that way no-one could follow what he said, his facial contortions are just so distracting.

As I understand it the commission in the UK has stated the organisations that will be investigated and JWs are not included. Has this changed? -

Wouldn't be the first time jw administrators pushed themselves into a situation they weren't invited to. Maybe they are there to do damage control with the rank and file. Or they are getting their information and "witnesses" primed for what they what they will say or not say. -

The 12 investigations announced are the first twelve to be worked on. The inquiry will look at any and all abuse involving children over any time period Justice Goddard and her team decide is needed.

There is also a charity commission investigation into JWs as a whole in Britain, as well as two into specific congregations.

On the other hand, Jackson's testimony also makes it more difficult and inexcusable for GB members to refuse to testify. Do not forget the fact that Jackson testified VIA video link. So with that precedent set, the UK commission can request that GB members testify from the US VIA a video link if they can't make it to the UK. -

Keep in mind the wt lawyers tried various excuses to keep Jackson off the stand but the justice told them he would be appearing. His last interview was I believe a telecast.
But yes the wts has had its backside stung and they will chain gb members to a tree rather than let them go to Britain and risk them being collared into the UK inquiry.
