Apparently it isn't just JW children who live with a fear of dying at Armageddon, kids from born again families live with a similar fear, as this article explores

Agreed. My wife grew up Pentecostal and had the same issues with the fear of Armageddon. It’s an interesting subject considering Humankind has nearly been wiped off the face of the planet a few times. So perhaps in our genetic memory “Armageddon” is always just around the corner.

Even if we remove what we consider Religion from the equation there are plenty of Climate Change zealots who worship the idea of zero carbon emissions ( utterly impossible by the way ) as part of their cult-like belief system. Seems like for humans “Armageddon” is always looming.

There seems to be no shortage of people who live in fear of the End… If it’s coming then there’s nothing we can do about it, and we all have our own personal end to look forward to at some point.

Or are getting impatient for it.
