I was doing some musing about prayer the other day, and another article popped out. For anyone interested, it is at: http://www.liberator.net/articles/AdamsKen/PowerPrayer.html
Hey, I've had another article published
Excellent writing, Running Man. I've never looked at it precisely that way, but boy, does that make sense.
Very interesting rm.....I've often felt that most stuff is just sheer randomness, and thus praying changes nothing.
Hey, this is my first post...so please bear with me if I screw it up at all.
I remember when I was little, I believed in prayer so fervently. Of course, this was based on me praying to God one time to find a penny that I'd lost and just as I said amen and opened my eyes, there it was! I was convinced from then on that prayer really worked wonders.
Now that I'm older and a little wiser, I still pray but not because I'm convinced it will fix everything. Mostly, I just think praying gives me a chance to sit and think about what I am thankful for that day. And sometimes after I do that, I feel better able to conquer my own problems or deal with my own daily stress.
When I first left the organization, I was angry at God and I never prayed. Now, I'm just angry at the organization and sometimes I'm still angry at my family for choosing the organization in the first place.
Anyways, that's just my take on prayer.
Very good RunningMan,
I don't mean to pop your bubble, or place a bee in your bonnet, or bunch up your panties(sorry, I didn't mean to expose that). But it seems that religious people do live longer:
(I cant seem to get a link, so click here: http://my.webmd.com/content/article/27/1728_60239
I doubt that it is do to prayer or good sex.
Well done, RunningMan
I always enjoy reading your articles.
Thanks for posting the article Well DONE
