    Hello everyone,

I'm sure you'll like this one, it come from the magazine

Awake! published by the WTBS Inc. :

    *** g98 8/22 9 The Power of Advertising *** [Box on page 9]

    Advertising God’s Kingdom

"What is one of the best ways to reach people with a persuasive message? The book Advertising: Principles and Practice says: “In an ideal world every manufacturer would be able to talk one-on-one with every consumer about the product or service being offered for sale.”

True Christians have voluntarily been publicizing God’s Kingdom in this way for nearly 2,000 years. (Matthew 24:14; Acts 20:20)

Why do not more businesses use this method of reaching people?

The book explains: “It is very expensive. Calls made by salespeople can cost

well in excess of $150 per call.” Christians, of course, “advertise”

God’s Kingdom on a voluntary basis. It is a part of their worship."

Can you imagine…? Free labour all the time,….billions of times!

Actually they …- those who advertise for the WTBS Inc. - have to

pay cash themselves, for the items they will freely advertise!

    Nice post, Mac.

We need to remember what they are calling on the R&F to advertise. Is it really the "good news of the kingdom" i.e. the gospel? Or is it not rather membership of a pseudo-christian cult?

    Cheers, Ozzie

    Mac,

The book explains: “It is very expensive. Calls made by salespeople can cost

well in excess of $150 per call.”

I think those figures refer to the average cost per sale made.

Back in the 80's, when I worked as a sales manager for Anglian windows, our tele-marketing average cost per sale made was around a hundred pounds, which would be about $150.

I wonder if Jesus while on the earth considered his preaching as a business and he was the head salesman?

    Hello,

    to Greven, Englishman and Shakita:

thanks for posting your comments. I'm sure that by reading such things,

one wonders with whom the WTBS Inc. imagins to deal with. Personally

such kind of comments, are insulting to God and to Jesus Christ and also

to the people in general. Without forgetting the most important aspect for

the mighty corporation: money, money, money!

    Greetings, J.C.MacHislopp
