Interesting! Nothing like another WT rule that creates a guilt-trip among the rank and file who live outside the territory.

This has come and gone for years. One day, it's go to the Cong in whose territory you live. Then, it's just go -- go anywhere, just go (and give us your money). It won't change much of anything. A few of the really delusional might switch Congs, but most will go where they damn well choose, ie, where they're friends or family attend. DOC

I'm not aware of a policy letter on this. The last time I saw this attempted was in the early 90s and it was a disaster. Congregations and circuits took some years to recover. All of a sudden 60% of a congregation changed with a totally new body of elders. It was nuts.
I doubt they'll try that again but who knows?
