Lol for some reason I was just reminded about the time a circuit overseer told my mom a good method of talking to householders was to say the following things "I don't have too much time to talk to you" or "I'm very busy today so I'll only share this one thought."
I know if I had been at the door I woulda said "If you are so busy why the hell are you wasting time knocking on my door butthead?"
I can't count how many times I would be at a door with a sister, who would say:
"I realize you must be busy so I'll be brief...."
and then proceeded to spend at least ten minutes giving a presentation. Longer if the person didn't object.
This is totally a sales tactic; taking it away, making it more desirable.
