I thought the term "same sex attraction" was invented by fundamentalists to emphasize their belief that it's just an attraction (feeling) and you don't have to act on it (sin)
Somewhat cynical, I must say.
Surely 'same sex attraction' is felt whether it's acted on or not, no?
So, it's an entirely appropriate neutral, descriptive term.
I know from personal experience that same sex attraction & trying to be a JW is a toxic mix.
