we have always had Bishops in the House of Lords.
Their presence in the Lords is an extension of their general vocation as bishops to preach God's word and to lead people in prayer. Bishops provide an important independent voice and spiritual insight to the work of the Upper House and, while they make no claims to direct representation, they seek to be a voice for all people of faith, not just Christians
I find it incomprehensible that our current Prime Mnister can make these type of statements:-
"Just as our language and culture is steeped in the bible, so to is our politics for human rights....." David Cameron.
Personally I have concluded that Thathcher, Blair, Brown, and Cameron are sincere when they talk about there beliefs. My question is therefore where has this faith come from?
I wonder if Public school has anything to do with it?
