    Prove me wrong.

Humans resort to the lowest common denominator when it comes to conflict. What I'm saying here is:

    A) People will finally resort (even after starting with logical and reasonable debates) to verbal confrontation with insults, name calling, and/or various underhanded attacks.

    and/or

    B) People will finally resort (even after starting with logical and reasonalbe debates) to physical confrontation (anything from minor as a slap to an all out apocolyptic war).

Now I will grant an exception here: There are FEW, and I mean a VERY FEW people in history and present time in which keep a civil disposition when it comes to conflict. But for humanity, the greater majority, will result in to the lowest common denominator...if you get my meaning and definition of such.

I've said it before, I'll say it again. It's perception. What YOU (and I) believe in, stand for, and direct with our internal moral compass often seeks a "side" to an issue. There can be two or more sides to an issue, true? Well...the little thing called "emotion" in we humans tends to get in the way of things. This isn't a "bad" or "wrong" thing, to say the least.

Take the example of William Wallace...more so the Hollywood version of such. How many were affected by such a presentation. Here we have the hero batteling England's oppressive rule. He used techniques, violent ones, in which you have been led to believe to be "noble" or "justified". You say to yourself, "hey, sure, why not? Bill Wallace kicked ass for 'noble' and 'just' reasons. I relate to that."

Well...eh, now rename William Wallace as Abdul Habib (or some other name). His religion and cultural traditions (which have been around for 1000's of years) are now being 'opressed' by Western civilization point of view, policy, and military actions. He goes out and fights against those contrary to his belief.

Am I saying this is justified? No, not at all. Just pointing out that perhaps, sometimes, you need to detach yourself from situations to aid yourself to a "better" understanding as to events in history, and present dilemas.

History is repleat with examples of Opressors vs. Opressed. Conflicting points of view. Each trying to justify the "betterment" of their own society. Techniques are presented, lines are drawn, and battles prevail on many spectrums.

Detach yourself from patriotism and nationalism, and you begin to see that it's nothing more then a conflict of power and control. One society vs. another society for a fight in survival. One tribe vs. another tribe. Instead of hunting grounds, we have conflict over social and economic frontiers now days.

Conflicts are not as "black & white" as we "want" or "wish" them to be. There are many "gray" areas in which each side can seek refuge in, so they may feel "justified" for being combative.

So before you go labeling people "evil", trying stepping back for a moment. Detach loyalties and idealisms of "nobility" and "integrity"...and look at what is going on. You will see that actions done by both opposing parties are pretty much equal on the playing field.

Now, I'm going to serve this warning one time for I've said my piece:

If we continue upon this course of action in adversde Social Politics, the only thing that will come of it will be everyone making an ass of themselves. If two parties are in conflict, keep it to a minimum. Let the parties dispute the problem. If they can not contact each other, it would be wiser to just drop it. Sacraficing your pride isn't going to kill anyone, keeping it will escalate the problem.

This whole JWO vs. JWD vs. EX-JWD is elementary school yard bullshit. There is one thing I come clean on is that I've never engaged in any of this Social Political Warfare. I've remained Switzerland in all this. So take it from a neautral point of view. I've hit the Trolls with a pretty big stick and apologists as well...but when it comes to Board Wars, you can pretty much say I've stayed out of all of it.

You decide to start spamming each other's boards with these Social squabbles, you are only making an ass of yourself. You are engaging equal actions with no justification. You want to stick up for a "friend" then send them an e-mail with your support. Keep it behind the lines. You do so in public, it will only escalate the confrontation and there will be more casualties.

    Now, for my perception:

There are times in our history, that there are Tyrants that truly Opress people. We are the very few that have survived and escaped the clutches of the WTBTS. In it's 120 year history, we here on THESE BOARDS, are the first generation to really unite and kick them in the nuts.

But hey, you want to throw that all away because of Social Political confrontation...be my guest. You want to continue this childish bullshit so your pride isn't hurt and let WTBTS prove that their position correct on "apostates" and/or "people who leave" correct...be my guest. You want to prove who has an ego or who is a liar for the sake of some self percieved "nobility"...be my guest.

But mark my words, you continue with this, and you'll end up destroying yourselves....and becoming that in which you escaped.

Brilliant, D8TA . I love the thoughts on Nationalism

On the issue of flaming, I fear that it is a human condition. Just like any two people who have things they feel passionate about - you won't stop it and may be we would not like this to become too bland.
